When a sheet collects RSVPs, the management view keeps attendance and sign-up spots as two separate numbers. Attendance never counts toward spots filled, and a claimed spot never counts as an RSVP.
Read the attendance strip
At the top of the sheet, the attendance strip shows people going, followed by the adults, children, and responses behind that number. Only responses marked Going feed the headline. Maybe and Not going are counted in the RSVPs panel and never inflate the headcount.
When you limit attendance, the strip also shows the places left, for example 12 of 40 places left, or Full once the limit is reached. On a multi-day sheet that asks about each date, it shows how many dates are full.
Work with the responses
- Open the sheet from your dashboard.
- Open the RSVPs tab. On an RSVP-only sheet, it is the first tab.
- Select a response to open its details: the headcount, the per-date answers, the phone number when the guest shared one, and the private note.
Use Search responses to find a guest by name or email. Use the Filter by response buttons to show All, Going, Maybe, or Not going; each button shows its count. When the sheet asks about each date, the Attendance by date chips above the list show the people going on each day.
Co-hosts see the RSVPs panel too. Only the sheet owner changes the RSVP settings.
Export responses
- Open the sheet's More menu.
- Select Export RSVPs (CSV). The action appears once the sheet has at least one response.
- Open the file in a spreadsheet for name tags, catering counts, or a check-in list.
Sign-up slots have their own export. See print, save, or export a roster.
Changing a guest's response
Hosts do not edit or delete RSVPs from the sheet. Each guest changes their own response through the Manage your response link in their confirmation email, which also lets them remove the response. When a guest asks you to change something, point them to that email; the sheet updates as soon as they save.
One email address holds one response per sheet. A guest who cannot find the link should search their inbox for RSVP received.
Adjusting the attendance limit
Open Settings, find Limit total attendance in Sign-up options, change Maximum people attending, and select Save. You cannot set a limit below the people already marked Going; the form tells you the current number so you can raise the limit or ask guests to change their responses first. There is no RSVP waitlist. When places run out, Going is unavailable to new guests until someone changes their response or you raise the limit.
Pausing or stopping RSVPs
Turn off Collect RSVPs in Settings to stop new responses. The RSVPs panel shows RSVP collection is paused, earlier responses stay in place, and guests keep their private links. Turn the switch back on to collect again. Setup details are in collect RSVPs on a sign up sheet, and the guest side is in what guests see when they RSVP.
